The Bless-ed Photo Shoot . . .

I can't believe that our little girl is now 10 weeks old!!!! Fastest ten weeks of my life!! Well, we went and got her 2 month old pictures on Friday. My mom and I wanted to get pictures of Abigail and our nephew Donnie, who is 8 1/2 months old. Since my Mom watches Donnie a couple of days a week (Friday's being one of them) we decided to take them then. Thank goodness Jake had the day off work and came with us. Wow, have you ever tried to take pictures of a 2 month old and an 8 month old?!?!??! Well, if you haven't I wouldn't suggest trying! My Mom brought her friend Kathy to help her with Donnie-- so there were 5 adults (including the photographer) and 2 babies--and YIKES it was a bit of disaster!!! To make things more exciting the air conditioning was not working in the studio so it just made the experinece all the more fun! We were all boiling and irritable. Donnie was SOO upset and crawling right out of the poses. Thank goodness Abigail can not crawl (or talk) otherwise I am sure that she would have looked at me and said, "peace out Mom--this is nuts!" Two hours after we walked into the photo studio we walked out with 5 sweating and exhusted adults and 2 upset babies. Through it all we did get a few cutie patootie photos! (sooo the chaos was worth it!) Here are the results of what I call the
"Bless-ed Photo Shoot":

Look at this giggling little girl! She is probably laughing at us chasing after Donnie! HA!

"I'm shy" --yeah right!!

Towards the end of the 2 hours--getting sleepy!!

and there Donnie goes . . .

Look at those cute cousins!!!

How sweet!!!

The colors on this one are a little weird . . . but in black and white it is darling (maybe I'll repost it in black and white . . .)

SHOTS????!!?!?!?!?

So, I am trying to figure out why they haven't found a way to vaccinate without using NEEDLES!!!! Abigail had her 2 month check up yesterday and was poked 3 times. I was relieved to know that one of the vaccines she would drink, but the other three were shot right in her little chubby thighs!! It was soo sad--one minute she was happy and smiling and then the next she was screaming the "I'm hurt" scream!
I am very grateful for modern medicine and that now Abigail is safe from quite a few diseases that many people in the past have died from--BUT--as a mother it was awful to see her in such pain. In truth, I think it may have been more painful for my Mom and I (my Mom came with me for moral support, than Abigail! It seemed like taking the band-aid off was more tramatic than the actual poke (if volumn and pitch of her screaming is a pain indicator).
Anywhoo . . . Abigail continues to smile all day long and is beginning to giggle more and more!! She has also discovered her arms-- it is so funny--when she is taking a nap I will go check on her and she will just be staring at her arm like she has never seen anything more amazing! Here are some of this weeks cute pictures:

Abgail loves to snuggle! Look at the chub on those arms!!! (She is now 11 lbs. 7 oz.--she is in the 75th percentile for her age, and she is 23.5 in long which is in the 90th percentile for her age! We have TALL little girl--she definitely does not get that from me!!!

This is after her bath last night -- she just looks too cute!

O.K.-- I know this is not a picture of my adorable little girl--BUT-- this is my FIRST tomato off my tomato tree or little plant (whichever) that I am growing on our deck!!!!! It tasted great too!!

"The Garbage Can Pic"
Abigail's 2 month Birthday!! O.K. I love to celebrate birthdays, so this is great I get to celebrate my daughter's "month-birthdays" (I haven't figured out a more clever name for them) the 17th of every month!!! Soo... my Mom and I took her to Baskin Robins (hence the 31 on the garbage can), borrowed one of their #2 candles, and took this fabulous picture! We also enjoyed a scoop of ice cream while Abigail was fast asleep!

No one believed me that Abigail had discovered her arm and now likes to stare at it in amazement (her doctor had a hard time believing me even)--- so two nights ago--I caught it on film! (Aparently, babies don't "usually" discover their extremities until about 3 or 4 months)-- not our little inquisitive baby!!

8 WEEKS LATER!!!!

Holy Cow, today our little Abigail is 8 weeks old!! I can't even believe it! Here are a few things that our little girl fills her day with: SMILING (she smiles ALL THE TIME), cooing and gooing, watching Mommie and Daddy walk back and forth from the comfort of her "non-bouncer", staring at her furry big sister Alabama (especially when she barks), holding her head up (today is actually the first day that she doesn't look like a bobblehead doll), swinging in her swing and staring up at the lit up stars on her swing, and snuggling with Mommie and Daddy. We love our little cute baby!

Over the past week Abigail has gone on her first ROAD TRIP!!! My mom had a doctor appointment in Spokane, Washington (which is about 2 1/2 hours away), so Abigail and I went with "Grammie"!! Abigail did GREAT!! She slept for part of the trip and when she was awake she would entertain herself by staring out the windows or at herself in the mirror. When we got home she went to bed at her usual 10:30 and slept until 6am :) What a wonderful baby!!

Also this week, she started sleeping in her crib in her room!! I am not totally ready to let her continue to sleep in her room (I'm too paranoid!! . . . half the night I am up checking to see if she is breathing and I'm glued to the video monitor making sure she hasn't done anything crazy--like roll over-- the other half the night!!!--all the while, Abigail gets a fabulous FULL night sleep), so tonight she is going to be back in her bassinet in our room. :) :)

She is definitely growing up quickly and becoming CUTER and CUTER!!!!!

This cute little outfit was just given to her by Nana and Papa!!! It is sooo cute on!!!

Jake and Abigail enjoying a dance in the kitchen (with her cute outfit on!)

Kar and Abigail walking around in Grammie's backyard--Abigail loves being outside and looking up at trees!!!!

Abigail loves her "non-bouncer"!!! This is from Nana and Papa AS WELL!! We call it the non bouncer because it is like a bouncer, but it is higher up and well.... it actually doesn't bounce at all-- it only rocks (hence the"non-bouncer") -- and she absolutely loves being in it!! :)

Taking an early morning snooze in her non-bouncer!

This is what I call multitasking! haha

Our 3rd Anniversary!!!!!

Today Jake and I are celebrating our 3rd ANNIVERSARY!!!!! I can not believe how quickly time can fly by!! Well, after 3 years and a beautiful baby girl later-- I am still madly in love with my husband! We are going out tonight (to see the new Harry Potter)-- without Abigail-- we are leaving her with "Grammie" (my Mom). This will be the 1st time that I have ever left her!! YIKES! She is 7 weeks old today and I have never left her!!
Hopefully I can do this!!!!!!!!
***UPDATE: O.K. ... I survived (phew)!! After giving my Mom about 20 minutes of instructions (mind you, she has been with her pretty much every day since she was born--and knows her program just as well as I do--) Jake and I went to the show (Harry Potter was fantastic) and to dinner (Red Robin--yummy chicken fingers)! Jake was very patient with me and my few tears (pathetic, I know) and my two phone calls to my Mom!! So. . . Abigail did wonderfully (I have no doubt that she missed us like CRAZY), my Mom is a fabulous babysitter (Abigail was sound asleep when we got back to my Mom's house) , Jake thinks I'm nuts (but he's still cute), and I have met my quota for leaving my daughter for a while (we'll see what Jake has to say about that! ha!)!!
Here are a couple of pictures of our little "smiler"--this first picture is one of Jake's favorites!!

Abigail loves getting her diaper changed-- so she is always smiling on her
changing table:)

Isn't her smile just too stinkin' cute!?!?!?! I love it!!!!

Abigail is 6 weeks old!

Here's the "donut girl"!!! We are thrilled to have such a beautiful baby girl in our home! Abigail is growing like a weed! She smiles ALL the time now and is such a happy baby! Abigail is sleeping anywhere between 6-8 hours at night-- usually from 11pm to 6:30am! We have been the luckiest parents with a baby who has always slept through the night :)!!! Here are a few of her 1-month-old pictures. Enjoy!
